Diovion Famakinde, an East Mississippi Community College (JUCO) and former Wings Academy High School (Bronx, NY) shooting guard/forward, has earned an offer from Division Southern University Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote on X.
Also, the 6-foot-4, 224-pound Brooklynite holds offers from Georgia Southern, Alabama A&M, Louisiana Tech, and Jacksonville State, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Famakinde, a class of 2026 player, spent last season with Olney Community College (Ill.), where he averaged 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in seven contests.
He also attended Hargrave Military Academy for a post graduate year.
Southern posted a 20-12 mark and went 15-3 Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) in the 2024-25 campaign.
