Union Catholic’s Malik Moore: A Rising Basketball Star Picks Up D1 East Carolina Offer

Class of 2028 Union Catholic High school (N.J.) guard Malik Moore has received an offer from Division I East Carolina University Men’s basketball program, yesterday basketball media outlets reported via X.

In addition to the Pirates’ offer, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound Plainfield, N.J., native holds offers from Creighton and Hampton, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Using his sick handle, Moore, who also suits up for the PSA Cardinals, is the type of player who can score underneath, around, and going away from the basket, even scoring while absorbing contact. Plus, he sports a smooth mid-range jumper.

As a freshman, Moore drained 342 points, grabbed 112 rebounds, and dished out 50 assists in 27 games played last season.

East Carolina put up a 19-14 record and went 12-6 American Athletic Conference (AAC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
