Brooklyn FC Signs Ghanaian  Midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe

Today, Brooklyn FC inked midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe, a Ghanaian National Team Deputy Captain and veteran footballer, for the remainder of the Gainbridge Super League 2025-26 Women’s season.

Cudjoe, 31, will join the club for its Saturday 3:00 p.m. match against DC Power FC at Maimonides Park on Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Kevin Tenjo, Sporting Director of Brooklyn FC, said Cudjoe bring a ton of intangibles to the beautiful game, and will be a huge motivating factor for Brooklyn FC (10-7-9) this year.

“Jennifer is an experienced player and a true leader. Her composure, professionalism, and passion for the game will make a huge impact on our group as we move forward through the rest of the season,” Tenjo said in a press release. “Her experience competing at the highest level, both nationally and internationally, will be an inspiration for our players and our fans.”

Cudjoe joins Brooklyn FC after making her Gainbridge Super League debut with DC Power FC during the 2024-25 campaign, in which she started 10 games and logged just under 900 minutes. She brings significant national and international experience, suiting up in both the Danish Top Division and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) before becoming a part of the Gainbridge Super League.

She also played for Ghana’s National Team eight times.

“Brooklyn FC is building something truly new and ambitious in American soccer, and I’m excited to be part of it,” Cudjoe said. “I’ve competed in incredible environments across my career, and I can’t wait to bring my experience, energy, and love for the game to this club and this community.”

Cudjoe played collegiate soccer for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Northeastern State University, and the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Also, it will be Croatian Heritage Day on Saturday, as Brooklyn FC has two players on its squad–Ana and Kiki Markovi–sisters who are Croatian.
