Class of 2026 Overtime Elite (Ga.) and former South Shore High School (Brooklyn, N.Y.) Boy’s basketball forward Asher Elson has verbally committed to Xavier University Men’s hoops program, today basketball media outlets announced on X.
Previously to committing to the Musketeers, Elson held offers from Auburn, St. John’s, Fordham, Syracuse, Illinois, Creighton, Ole Miss., Georgia Tech, Maryland, among other programs, per VerbalCommits.com.
Asher, the No. 114 overall recruit in the 2026 class, averaged 15.30 points, 5.35 rebounds, and 1.21 assists per game in 14 regular PSAL season contests in the 2023-24 season with South Shore.
Xaiver, who competes in the Big East Conference, is off to a 3-2 start and will play Georgia Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the 2025 Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic.
