Utility Player, Freehold, New Jersey Native Ryan Ford Inks with Washington Wild Things for 2026 Season


The Washington Wild Things have signed utility player Ryan Ford, who played with the New Jersey Jackals in 2025, for the 2026 Frontier League baseball season, today the team announced on its website.

Ford, a graduate of Freehold Township High School in New Jersey, slugged 11 home runs and 53 RBI with 15 doubles and 17 stolen bases with the Jackels last year.

In 2024, the 25-year-old began his professional baseball career with the Jackals and appeared in 68 games, smacking 10 longballs, 10 doubles, and drove in 39 tuns along with 10 stolen bases and a .639 OPS.

Ford played two years at Division II Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, clubbing 13 home runs and 55 RBI with 20 doubles. He spent his first two seasons at Penn State before transferring to Lynn.
