Lake Country DockHounds Ink Righty Pitcher and New Jersey’s Dominic Cancellieri


The Lake Country DockHounds of the American Association, an MLB partner league, have re-signed New Jersey native and former Bergen Catholic High School right-handed pitcher Dominic Cancellieri, yesterday the league announced on X.

Cancellieri, 25, returns to the fold after posting a solid 4-2 mark with a 3.95 ERA in eight starts in his professional debut with Lake Country in 2025.

In college, he posted a 2-1 record with a 2.29 ERA in 55 innings of work in 13 games with the Big East Conference’s Creighton University Blue Jays in 2025. He also spent two years (2020-21) at University of Notre Dame.

Before college, the 5-foot-11 Cancellieri held a 6-1 mark with 0.73 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 47.2 frames during his senior year at Begen Catholic. Also, the Wayne N.J., native earned Big North All-League selections from his sophomore through his senior year in high school.
