Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has dubbed Coppin State University Women’s basketball freshman guard Kyley Gary-Grayson on being named Rookie of the Week for last week, yesterday the MEAC announced on it website.
Gary-Grayson, who is from West Orange, N.J., and played for West Orange High School and Team Lightning Melious AAU, scored 16 points, two steals, and two rebounds in a defeat against George Washington.
Gary-Grayson is averaging 2.5 points per game through 14 contests so far this season for the Eagles.
In high school, she finished her career with 1,359 points, 454 rebounds, 261 assists, and 279 steals.
Coppin State is 2-13 this far this campaign, and will travel to Delaware State Saturday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m.
