Washington Wild Things Re-Sign New Jersey Native, All-American Infielder Cole Fowler


The Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League, a MLB partner league, have brought back infielder Cole Fowler, a Mantua, N.J., native and All-American product out of Division II Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, for the 2026 season, today the team announced via Facebook.

Fowler launched four home runs and 20 RBI with a triple and two doubles along with a slash line of .341/.409/.537 in 94 plate appearances in a 25-game stint with the Wild Things last year.

Before turning professional, Fowler slugged .438 with 19 longballs, 15 doubles, and three triples while driving in 64 runs and scoring 57 times in his senior campaign of college at Lynn University.

Before that, he suited up for Rowan Univeristy, a New Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) school, in 2023, where Fowler posted impressive numbers, slashing 416/.448/.719 (1.167 OPS) with 24 doubles, a triple and 10 home runs to go with 66 RBI.

Rowan won the NJCAA title that year and Fowler made First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-World Series squads. He spent 2022 at Division II Goldey-Beacom, where he appeared in 30 contest and drove in seven runs.
