The Gary SouthShore RailCats have re-signed outfielder LG Castillo–a Buffalo, New York. native–or the 2026 American Association (an MLB partner league) campaign, yesterday the league announced via X.
The former Milwaukee Brewers farmhand is second in Gary SouthShore history with 336 hits and 331 games played, third with 162 RBI and fourth with 20 home runs in three years with the team.
Last season, Castillo, 26, batted .242 with six longballs and 36 RBI in 339 at-bats in 91 games. played.
The Brewers selected Castillo in the 17th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Lancaster Central High School in Lancaster, New York, where he was Buffalo’s three-sport Athlete of the Year in 2017, according to his X account.
