Winnipeg Goldeyes Ink Jiandido Tromp for 2026 Season


The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed outfielder and Oranjestad Noord, Aruba native Jiandido Tromp for the upcoming American Association 2026 campaign, yesterday the league announced via X.

Tromp last played baseball with the Leones de León of the Nicaraguan Winter League in 2024-25, where he batted .321 with seven home runs and 22 RBI in 84 at-bats in 41 games.

He also suited up for the San Marino Baseball team of the Italian Serie A League, hitting .330 with five longballs and 20 RBI in 91 at-bats in 30 contests in 2024, and in several international tournaments with the HonkbalSoftbalNL.

Additionally, the 32-year-old spent seven seasons with the Philadelphia Philles organization, reaching as high as Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs in 2017 and 2018.
