The Sussex County Miners are bringing back popular outfielder Gabriel Maciel for the 2026 Frontier League campaign, an MLB Partner League, yesterday the team announced via X.
Maciel, a native of Londrina, Brazil, slugged an impressive .385 with five home runs, 40 RBI, and 10 stolen bases in 247 at-bats in 61 games last season, while playing a solid outfield.
The 27-year-old hit .276 with a .344 on-base percentage, three homers, 24 runs driven in, and 14 base thefts in 250 at-bats in 67 tilts in 2024.
Before the Miners, Maciel played with the High Single-A Lansing Lugnuts (Oakland A’s) in 2022, hitting .275 with one longball run, 16 RBI, and 12 doubles in 211 at-bats in 62 contests.
