The 23-year-old Venezuela native is known for his defensive prowess behind the dish, throwing out 39 of 84 (46.4 percent) of runners who attempted to steal while with the Columbia Fireflies, New York's full-season Single-A affiliate in the South Atlantic League, in 2018. He also hit .259 and drove in 22 RBI.
