Former Pope John XXIII Regional High School's Jimmy Brennan is transferring to Seton Hall's baseball program for his senior year. In three years at Division II Post University, he had an impressive .355 batting average, 14 home runs, 131 RBI, 40 doubles, a .936 OPS and .423 OBP in 141 games. He also maintained a 3.64 GPA.
Donahue, a junior pitcher and first baseman/outfielder, led the Cougars' pitching staff with a 2.33 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 27 innings of work in the 2022-23 season. He also batted .368 with a home run and 14 RBI in 57 at-bats.
Chavez's fastball ranges from the mid-eighties to 91 mph with a slider that runs around 77 mph, offering a nice change of pace to help keep hitters off balance, according to sources.
