The Minnesota Twins have acquired Tyler Dearden from the Long Island Ducks, with Dearden joining the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The outfielder was excelling with the Ducks, leading in batting average, doubles, and hits. Long Island's manager congratulated Dearden on his new opportunity. Dearden had previously played for the Boston Red Sox organization.
