The 31-year-old Cudjoe has represented the Black Queens nine times, with her most recent cap coming in December 2025 for an international friendly against England, where she saw 89 minutes of pitch action and won six tackles.
She previously represented Ghana at the youth level and earned her first senior call‑up for the 2024 CAF Women’s Olympic qualifying tournament.
Cudjoe joined Brooklyn FC in November 2025 and made her debut against DC Power FC, her previous team, on November 8. To date, she has made seven appearances, winning 13 tackles and logging 454 minutes.
The Africa Cup of Nations takes place in Morocco, running from March 17-April 3. Ghana was drawn into Group D with Cameroon, Mali, and Cape Verde, their first opponent on March 18.
As for the Men’s team, Brooklyn FC signed defender So Nishikawa ahead of the club’s inaugural USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.
Nishikawa comes to Coney Island after suiting up for San Diego State University and the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where he was named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-Horizon League First Team honors.
Before college, he was on the books at A-League powerhouse Melbourne Victory FC, making four appearances for the first team after debuting in 2020.
Brooklyn FC Head Coach Marlon LeBlanc said that he loves Nishikawa’s intangibles and versatility, especially of the defensive side, making him happy to bring to Brooklyn.
“So has taken a really strong development path and he’s earned recognition at every level through consistency,” Brooklyn FC Head Coach Marlon LeBlanc said in a press release. “He stood out in a combine setting in Michigan and showed qualities we value in our game model. He’s a competitor, he’s composed defensively, and he’s comfortable on the ball. We like his mindset and his versatility, and we’re excited to bring him into our group.”
During the summer of 2024, Nishikawa played for Seacoast United Phantoms in USL League Two, a top summer development league for college players, and he stood out at a recent combine attended by Brooklyn FC technical staff.
Brooklyn FC women’s next match is on the road against Spokane Zephyr FC on March 14. Kickoff is set for 9 pm ET, while the men’s club’s inaugural match in the USL Championship is on Sunday, March 8, against Indy Eleven. Kickoff is at 3:00 p.m. at Maimonides Park on Coney Island, Brooklyn.
