Brooklyn’s South Shore Stays Perfect, Continues to Hold onto PSAL’s City Conference Lead

After eight weeks of exciting PSAL Football City Conference action, the South Shore Vikings remain atop the division with a perfect 8-0 mark, as one game remains on the regular season schedule.

Moreover, there was a power points shift, with the previously fourth place squad moving up a notch, while the third ranked team slides down a spot.

Here are the rankings.

South Shore Vikings

Continuing its undefeated run this season, South Shore trashed Brooklyn Tech, 33-0, Sunday at Boys & Girls High School Field.

The Vikings sit in first place with 1471 Power Points.

In addition to beating the Engineers, South Shore has wins over Boys & Girls, Fort Hamilton, Erasmus Hall, New Utrecht, Tottenville, Curtis and Flushing so far this year.

Next Game: Friday versus host Lincoln at 7:00 p.m.

Erasmus Hall

The Dutchmen annihilated Canarsie, 39-0, at home Sunday afternoon.

With the win, Erasmus Hall holds the second spot with 1384 Power Points. The 7-1 Dutchmen, whose only defeat came at the Hands’ of the Vikings, picked up victories versus Curtis, New Dorp, JFK, Midwood, Fort Hamilton, Lincoln.

Next Game: Saturday at 7 p.m. at Tottenville, with heavy postseason positioning at stake.

Midwood Hornets

The Hornets move up to the third position with a big 46-8 victory over host JFK last Sunday.

Midwood now sports a 7-1 record and 1223 points.

With the rout over JFK, the Hornets have also beaten Flushing, Curtis, New Dorp, Clinton, Lincoln and Fort Hamilton.

Next Game: Midwood travels to Boys & Girls for a noon tilt.

Tottenville Pirates

The Pirates are in fourth place with 1211 power points. 7-1 Tottenville made Port Richmond walk the plank Sunday with a 30-16 win, and also holds victories over Lincoln, Boys & Girls, Flushing, Susan Wagner, New Dorp and Curtis.

Next Game: The Pirates play host to E-Hall Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Lehman Lions

The Lions secured the fifth spot and 981 power points with a 42-26 win over Boys & Girls last week at Christopher Columbus High School Field.

In addition to defeating Boys & Girls, the Lions have triumphed over the Utes, Campus Magnet, Canarsie, Clinton and Port Richmond, with their only loss coming at the hands of Bronx rival, Truman, 14-8.

Next game: Saturday at 7:00 p.m. against host JFK.
