After receiving an offer from Division II College of Staten Island Men’s basketball program, today Woodstock Academy (CT) forward Johan Nziemi has verbally committed to the New York City school, Tweeted VerbalCommits.com.
The 6-foot-6, 214 senior owns a 6-foot-10 wingspan and can guard the 1-5 positions, with the ability to get his share of buckets.
It sounds as if Nziemi, a NYC native and AAU Pro Level Titan, might have been flying under the radar, but the Dolphins seem to have found themselves a hidden gem.
Staten Island posted a 9-16 record and went 5-8 in East Coast Conference (ECC) action last season.
