2022 Walter Hines Page Senior High School (N.C.) wing Josh Scovens yesterday had received an offer from Army West Point (N.Y.) Men’s Basketball program, per Tweet from Scovens.
It was the first Division I offer for the 6-foot-6, 185-pound Scovens, who hails from Greensboro, N.C. With the senior’s first offer out of the way, others should follow suit in due course.
Scovens posses a nice outside shot, can score in traffic, and is a defensive monster when a player tries to go to the hoop, especially straight to the middle.
He averaged 12.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in 15 contests for the Pirates last season, according to MaxPreps.com.
Army West Point posted a 12-10 overall record and went 7-7 in Patriot League Conference (PLC) action in the 2020-21 campaign.
