Manhattan Transfer Romar Reid Commits to D2 Saint Michael’s Hoops

Former Manhattan College basketball guard Romar Reid is transferring to Division II Saint Michael’s, in Vermont, according to sources yesterday.

The New Rochelle, N.Y., native averaged 1.8 points and 0.6 assists while posting a 1.7 assist/turnover ratio. Reid shot 36.8 percent from the floor, including 30.8 percent from long range, and 71.4 percent from the foul line.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Reid attended Iona Prep and Woodstock Academy (postgrad) before enrolling at Manhattan.

Saint Michael’s finished with an 8-16 overall mark and went 5-13 Northeast 10 Conference action past season.
