Dwayne Pierce of Christ the King Commits to Iowa State Hoops Over 18 Colleges

Class of 2024 Christ the King High School (N.Y.) guard Dwayne Pierce has verbally committed to Division I Iowa State Mens’ basketball program, yesterday VerbalCommits.com Tweeted.

Dwayne Pierce chooses Iowa State over 18 other D1 schools.

Additionally, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound guard held offers from Rutgers, Fordham, Marist, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Illinois, Rhode Island, Bryant, Seton Hall, Creighton, LSUGeorge Washington, St. John’s, Georgia Tech, UAB, Memphis, New Mexico State and Nebraska, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Pierce is a gifted scorer, as one minute he is burying a successful three-pointer. The next, he is making defenders look as if they are stuck in glue, as he blazes past his opponents en route to the hoop for a bucket.
