Brooklyn Native, Seton Hall Transfer Femi Odukale Commits to New Mexico State Hoops


Former Seton Hall guard and Brookly native Femi Odukale is transferring to New Mexico State Mens’ basketball, per today’s Tweets.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Odukale averaged 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds this past year for the Pirates. He also finished second on the team with 52 steals. Plus, Odukale averaged 10.8 points, 3.5 assists and 3.4 boards at Pittsburgh during 21-22 season.

Odukale starred at South Shore High School in Brooklyn for head coach Shawn Mark before attending Springfield Commonwealth Academy (Mass.). He helped the Vikings capture two New York City PSAL championships, and led the team to a 28-6 record, including 17-2 league mark, and a state playoff appearance as a senior. South Shore finished the season ranked 10th in the state of New York.

New Mexico State posted a 9-15 overall record and went 2-10 in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) this past season.
