Aspen Wheeler of Lampasas High School and Texas Blaze 18u Gold has verbally committed Division I Rider University (N.J.) Womens’ softball program, yesterday she Tweeted.
Wheeler earned a number of recognitions, including First Team All-District, Team Offensive MVP and Academic All-District student-athlete after batting .446 and slugging .870 with eight home runs and 42 RBI as a junior with the Badgers.
Wheeler, a shortstop/third baseman/utility player, owns good power and a solid glove at whatever position she plays.
The Broncos posted a 19-31 record and went 9-11 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action this past season.
