Toros De Tijuana Purchases the Contract of Honey Hunters’ JC Escarra


Gastonia Honey Hunters catcher J.C. Escarra has earned his way to the Toros De Tijuana of the Mexican Baseball League, yesterday the Tweeted.

J.C. Escarra headed to Mexican Baseball League.

Escarra, 28, enjoyed monster numbers with the Honey Hunters, batting .348 with 15 home runs, 41 RBI while slashing .423/.707/1.131 in 164 at-bats in 41 contests.

The New York Mets drafted Escarra in the 32nd round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Mater Academy Charter School in Hialeah, Florida, and again by the Baltimore Orioles in the 15th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
