Class of 2024 Zahra Alexander of Rutgers Prep (N.J.) and Jersey Gemz 17U EYBL has committed to Division III New York University (NYU) Women’s basketball program, yesterday she Tweeted.
Alexander, a 5-foot-10 wing, scored 230 points, grabbed 100 rebounds and dished out 65 assists in 30 games played last season.
Alexander was part of a loaded squad that featured rising senior star Mikayla Blakes, rising sophomore phenomenon GiGi Battle and Rhode Island-bound Katie Ledden. Expect Alexander to have a big year for the Argonauts now that she has a year more of experience underneath her belt.
NYU posted a 25-3 overall record and went 12-2 in University Athletic Assocation (UAA) Conference action last year.
