Chuffo Leads STA Girls Hoops to Big Opening Season Win Against North Brunswick

Gianna Chuffo of St Thomas Aquinas picked up where she left off last season, as she buried nine three pointers (per NJ.com) in the Trojans’ 90-30 road win over North Brunswick to tip off the 2023-24 campaign.

Chuffo, a junior guard, scored a game-high 29 points, while sophomore forward Jordan Barnes contributed 15 points and freshman guard Lauryn Downing added 13 in the lopsided victory.

Chuffo, who also suits up for Team Sharp 17U Blue’s squad, drilled a New Jersey Girl’s high school-best 86 shots made from beyond the arc last season.

Sydney Joseph paced North Brunswick with 14 points.
