In an effort to strengthen its women’s division, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) signed Deonna Purrazzo to contract.
In a crowd-pleasing move, Purrazzo made her debut in her home state of New Jersey last night on AEW Dynamite at the Prudential Center in Newark.
Much to the home crowd’s delight, the Virtuosa ruined Mariah May’s in-ring debut after she defeated Queen Aminata.
First, Purrazzo put the AEW Women’s Champ, Timeless Toni Storm, on notice. Then, she proceeded to kick the British accent out of May’s mouth by introducing her to one of New Jersey native’s black UGG boots.
Take that. Do not mess with a Jersey girl! Ever!
Purrazzo, who enjoyed stints with WWE and Impact Wrestling, is one of the most talented women in professional wrestling right now. Her signing is a big boon for AEW, without a doubt.
Look for the former three-time Impact Knockouts World Champion to hoist AEW gold in the future.
