The Lake Erie Crushers have signed ex-MLber Alfredo Gonzalez (C/IF) for the independent Frontier League 2024 season, today the team announced on X.
Gonzalez slugged a .281 batting average with 17 home runs and 49 RBI, while slashing an impressive .353/.509/.863 in 267 at-bats in 78 games with the Atlantic League’s Charleston Dirty Birds in the 2022 campaign.
Gonzalez reached the MLB with the Chicago White Sox in 2018, playing in three contests with the club.
The 31-year-old has played three seasons of Triple-A ball with the Charlotte Knights in the White Sox organization.
