JT Snow Returns to Bay Area as First Base, Bench Coach for the Oakland Ballers


Could it be snowing in Oakland, California?

Well, not exactly. Instead, Bay area legend J.T. Snow is returning to the region as the Oakland Ballers first base and bench for the upcoming 2024 independent Pioneer Baseball League campaign, today the team announced via X.

J.T. Snow speaks to Oakland Baller fans as he announces he will be part of the club’s coaching staff.

Snow, a California native, spent nine seasons with the San Fransico Giants, four years with the California Angels, one with the Boston Red Sox, seven games with the New York Yankees, and one contests with the Giants in 2008 to end his career.

All in all, Snow, 55, slugged 189 home runs, 877 RBI and 798 runs scored with a .268 batting average.

Defensively, he was a stonewall first baseman, winning six Golden Glove Awards in a career that spanned 16 MLB seasons.

The Yankees selected Snow in the fifth round of the 1989 June Amateur out of University of Arizona.
