Archbishop Stepinac Products Koureissi, Carbuccia Earn D1 Hoops Offers

Two Archbishop Stepinac High School (NY) basketball players — Hassan Koureissi and Danny Carbuccia — today have received Division I college hoops offers.

Koureissi, a sophomore guard, earned a basketball offer from St. John’s, while Carbuccia, a junior guard, picked up one from Dayton, according to sources.

Additionally, the 6-foot-3, 170-pound Koureissi has garnered offers from Manhattan, St. Bonaventure, Iona and St. Louis, while Carbuccia holds offers from St. John’s, Seton Hall, Stony Brook, Providence, Fairfield, West Virgina, Robert Morris, St. Peter’s (NJ), Fordham, St. Bonaventure, LIU Brooklyn, St. Louis, among other programs, per VerbalCommits.com.

Several high school hoop insiders consider Carbuccia to be one of the top point guards in his class in the nation. Koureissi, at just 15 years old, is surely on the rise, using his length and scoring touch to turn heads.
