Meaghan Doherty of The Stony Brook School (N.Y.) has verbally committed to Division II Roberts Wesleyan University Women’s basketball program, today she announced via X.
The senior also held offers from Division II JUCO Morton College (Cicero, Illinois), D1 JUCO Monroe College Mustangs, among interest from other schools. according to her X account.
Doherty, who owns a good shot selection and a high motor, previously played for Kennedy Catholic, helping to pace the team to the Girl’s Catholic High School Athletic Assocation (GCHSAA) Tier 2 North Division title in the 2022-23 campaign.
The Redhawks are 6-10 overall and 2-10 in Eastcoast Conference play thus far this season.
