Senior Jordan Christian Prep (Fla.) forward Diamant Blazi has recently received an offer from the Division I Monmouth University Hawks Men’s basketball program, per 863 Hoops.
The Monmouth offer is the first for the 6-foot-8 French native, according to VerbalCommits.com.
But Blazi has garnered interest from Western Kentucky, Norte Dame, USD, Overtime Elite (a 16-20 basketball league), UNCG, Stetson and UNF, per a report. During the 2022 campaign, he played for the Chorale Roanne Basketball U-21 team.
Some could make a case for Blazi being an under-the-radar prospect, but that should not be for long. He gets to the basket with thunderous authority and is a shot-blocking presence, using his 42-inch vertical leap and 7-foot-2 wingspan to his advantage. He also owns a solid outside jumper.
Monmouth is 15-12 overall and 8-6 in Colonial Athletic Assocation conference (CAA) action so far this season.
