The Sioux City Explorers have re-signed right-handed relief pitcher Brandon Brosher, a former New York Mets farmhand, today the American Assocation announced on X.
Brosher, 29, posted a 4-1 record with 4.07 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 55.1 innings of work in 44 games in relief with the Explorers in 2023.
Picked by the Mets in the 36th round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft out of F. W. Springstead High School (Spring Hill, FL), Brosher began his career as a catcher and first baseman within New York’s minor league system. Before transitioning to the mound, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound hard thrower clubbed 31 home runs, drove in 94 runs and swiped 21 bases in six seasons as a Met minor leaguer.
