Princeton transfer Zach Martini has committed to Division I Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Men’s basketball, today VerbalCommits.com wrote on X.
Next season, Martini will be entering his senior year. In his junior year as a Tiger, the 6-foot-7, 235-pound power forward averaged 8.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 2023-24 season.
With the addition of Martini and a terrific incoming freshman class, Rutgers will have one of the strongest teams in the Big Ten Conference for the 2024-25 campaign.
Martini played high school hoops at Gill St. Bernard’s, where he endured a collapsed lung after taking a charge from a 6-foot-10 player. So, he is tough and resilient, not to mention he owns a high motor for a big guy.
Rutgers posted a 15-17 record and went 7-13 in Big Ten Conference action in the 2023-24 season.
