Ohio State Men’s basketball forward Zed Key is entering the transfer portal, yesterday per media reports.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Key is a graduate transfer who averaged 6.6 points and was fifth on the team in rebounding at 4.1 rebounds per game for the Buckeyes in the 2023-24 campaign. He also blocked 23 shots, which placed him third on the team.
Key played for Long Island Lutheran High School (N.Y.), where he was both leading scorer and rebounder with 18 points and 8.7 boards per game in the 2019-20 year. He also blocked 2.0 shots per contest. From the field, he made 178-261 (68 percent) shots and sank 71 percent of his attempts at the charity stripe (178-261).
Ohio State posted a 22-14 overall record and went 9-11 in the Big 10 Conference in the 2023-24 season.
