Zed Key, a former Ohio State 6-foot-8 forward, has committed to Dayton University Men’s basketball program after entering the transfer portal early this month, today he announced via X.
Key is a graduate transfer who averaged 6.6 points per game and was fifth on the team in rebounding at 4.1 boards per contests for the Buckeyes in the 2023-24 season. He also rejected 23 shots, which placed him third on Ohio State.
Key suited up for the national ranked Long Island Lutheran High School (LuHi/N.Y.) boy’s basketball squad, where he led the Crusaders in scoring average (18 points) and rebounding (8.7) in the 2019-20 year. He also proved a defensive force, blocking two shots per contests.
The Flyers posted a 25-8 mark and went 14-4 Atlantic 10 Conference play in the 2023-24 campaign.
