Big news out of South Orange, New Jersey, as former Seton Hall guard Kadary Richmond is transferring to Big East rival St. John’s University Men’s basketball program, per multiple media reports.
The 6-foot-6 Richmond, who played high school basketball for Brooklyn’s South Shore, averaged 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists (all tops on the Pirates) and 2.2 steals per game with Seton Hall last season.
The transfer portal acquisition gives the Red Storm a proven scorer who helped pace the Pirates to the NIT championship last season.
St. John’s posted a 20-13 mark and went 11-9 in Big East Conference action in the 2023-24 campaign.
