The spring AAU girls’ basketball season has been kind to Kyley Gary-Grayson, a rising senior guard at West Orange High School in New Jersey, so far.
Today, she has picked up offers from two women’s college basketball program: Division I Chicago State and Division II Fort Lauderdale University, her AAU coach Dan Melious, who is at the helm for Team Melios Lightning, wrote on X.
In addition to the Chicago State and Eagles’ offers, Gary-Grayson holds ones from D-1 Coppin State, and another from D-2 Lander University.
Gary-Grayson drained 334 points (second on her squad), grabbed 87 rebounds and made a team-leading 74 steals in 28 games for the Mountaineers in the 2023-24 New Jersey Girl’s High School campaign.
Gary-Grayson is likely to field more offers, as she is a complete overall player. She can facilitate the ball on the court well, get to the hoops with a nice, quick first step, and plays defense like a ball-hawking beast.
Note: This story was updated after Gary-Grayson earned her second offer of the day from Chicago State.
Fort Lauderdale posted a 4-16 overall mark and went 0-1 in National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) action this past season.
