Class of 2025 Brooks School (Mass.) guard Alex Wilkins has received an offer from Division I Hofstra and Northern Kentucky Men’s basketball program, today he wrote on X.
The 6-foot-5 Wilkins also holds offers from Iona, Albany, Bryant, Siena, Fairfield, FGU, UMass, among other D-1 programs, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Wilkins owns a distinct set of hardwood skills that includes shooting the long-range jump shot well, especially deep threes. But if you face guard him, he will blow by you and get to the rim on the regular, while absorbing contact for the and one.
Therefore, Wilkins, who also suits up for the Middlesex Magic AAU squad, creates mismatches for opposing teams. In addition to that, he can score with either hand and plays a tenacious defense.
To that end, Wilkins’ numbers speak for themselves: 18.5 points and 2.4 assists average per game, 90.9 percent from the free throw line, 39.6 percent from three-point land, and 46 percent from the field in his junior season.
If that information is not enticing alone, Wilkins shines in the classroom with 3.3 GPA.
The Pride posted a 20-13 overall record and went 12-6 in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) conference action in the 2023-24 campaign.
