Class of 2026 Aiden Derkack, who plays for Colonia High School (N.J.) Boy’s basketball team, has picked up an offer from Division I Providence College Men’s hoops program, today he wrote on X.
Derkack also holds offers from Rutgers, TCU, Villanova, Albany, Xavier, Miami, among other programs.
Derkack, who also suits up for Team Final Nike EYBL, drained team-highs in points (619), rebounds (241), assists (100) and steals (58) in 31 games played for Colonia in the 2023-24 campaign.
Derkack is a leader and winner, pacing the Patriots to their third straight North 2, Group 3 title with a 61-53 victory over Milburn this past season.
The Derkack family have made their mark in the basketball world, with his older brother, Jordan, going to Rutgers this coming season. He played with Merrimack in 2023-24, averaging 17.7 points, six rebounds while contributing 3.9 assists per game.
Then there is his sister, Taylor, who starred at Colonia High School, and is headed to UMass Women’s basketball program in the fall.
The Frias put up a 21-14 overall mark and went 10-10 in Big East Conference action in the 2023-24 campaign.
