While the road has been long and enduring to college hoops, Randolph High School (N.J.) and Team Melious Lightning 17U combo guard Aliyah Lambo has verbally committed to Division III Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) Women’s basketball program, yesterday she announced via X.
Additionally, the rising senior held offers from D-I Coppin State and D-II East Stroudsburg, as well as DIII Pratt Institute basketball programs, per sources.
Lambo poured in 216 points, grabbed 200 rebounds, handed out 80 assists and made 54 steals in 30 games in the 2023-23 New Jersey High School girls’ basketball season.
Lambo is in the process of recovering from ACL surgery, which she underwent approximately seven ago. She should be medically cleared to return to basketball activities before the 2024-25 New Jersey High School basketball campaign begins.
The Mariners put up a 22-5 overall mark and went 13-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action in the 2023-24 campaign. MMA made it to the first round of NCAA D-III tournament, ultimately bowing out to Smith College, 61-46.
