The New York Mets have promoted shortstop Wyatt Young from the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies to Triple-A Syracuse Mets, today the Rumble Ponies announced via X.
Wyatt, 24, batted .288 with four home runs, 31 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 320 at-bats in 101 games with Binghamton before the callup. Also, he slashed .358/.350/.708.
The Mets selected Young in the 15th round, 442nd overall, of the 2021 MLB Amateur Draft out of Pepperdine.
The 5-foot-6, 160-pound Honolulu, Hawaii, native currently holds a .263 average with 16 longballs, 132 RBI and 46 base thefts thus far in parts of four season within New York’s minor league system.
