The New York Mets have promoted shortstop Wyatt Young from the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies to Triple-A Syracuse Mets, today the Rumble Ponies announced via X.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Wyatt, 24, batted .288 with four home runs, 31 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 320 at-bats in 101 games with Binghamton before the callup. Also, he slashed .358/.350/.708.
The Mets selected Young in the 15th round, 442nd overall, of the 2021 MLB Amateur Draft out of Pepperdine.
The 5-foot-6, 160-pound Honolulu, Hawaii, native currently holds a .263 average with 16 longballs, 132 RBI and 46 base thefts thus far in parts of four season within New York’s minor league system.
