Ethan Johnston of the Hill School (Pottstown, Pa.) and NY Rens Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) has picked up a Division I offer from Marquette Men’s basketball program, today he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Additionally, the 6-foot-6 junior guard holds offers from Villanova, Seton Hall, Illinois, Fordham, UPenn, to name a few, and interest from Northwestern, Penn State, Virginia, Xavier, Notre Dame, Davidson, among other programs, according to his X account.
Johnston owns a fluid stutter/hesitation step that keeps defenders off kilter, allowing him to move around the opposition and get to the basketball on the regular. Plus, he displays a sweet long-range jumper and has youth and length on his side.
The Golden Eagles are off to a 1-0 start, beating Stony Brook, 102-62, Monday at home in the Marquette Challenge. Marquette plays George Mason Friday at 8:00 p.m. in the second contest of the tournament.
