Garrett Wilson had himself a terrific game last Thursday night, making two outstanding one-handed touchdown catches in the New York Jets’ 21-13 victory over the Houston Texans.
For Wilson’s impressive efforts, the NFL has named the Jets’ wide receiver as the AFL Offensive Player of the Week, today the Jets announced via X, formerly known as Twitter.
Wilson totaled nine receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. The 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year recorded his fifth TD of the year, surpassing his previous career-high of four from his rookie season in 2022.
In addition to that, the 24-year-old Ohio State alum finished with 60 receptions, the most in the NFL, and 663 receiving yards, the third-best in the league.
