Mark Minicozzi will return to the Staten Island FerryHawks helm for the 2025 independent Atlantic League season, the team recently announced.
The 2025 campaign will mark Minicozzi’s second with the FerryHawks and fifth as a manager in the Atlantic League. He previously piloted the Spire City Ghost Hounds in 2023, the Wild Health Genomes in 2022, and the Charleston Dirty Birds in 2021.
Minicozzi also took to the diamond as an infielder in the San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals organizations. Additionally, the 41-one-year-old suited up in the Atlantic League with the Long Island Ducks, Somerset Patriots, and played four years of overseas baseball, amassing 12 years as a professional player.
“I’m super excited to return to Staten Island for the 2025 season,” Minicozzi said on FerryHawks.com. “Last year was a great step forward, and I’m eager to build off that success. The fans and community here are amazing, and I’m looking forward to another season of exciting baseball on Staten Island.”
Staten Island posted a 55-69 record as the bench boss for Staten Island.
