Jordanna Schrecker Shines with 43 Points in New Dorp Hoops’ Win; Saddle River’s Giada Celletti Drops Double-Double in Victory


Jordanna Schrecker went off for a game-high 43 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Staten Island’s New Dorp High School’s 60-37 victory over Curtis (3-3) Saturday afternoon at home.

Schrecker, a senior guard who is committed to Sacred Heart, added four assists in the lopsided Central Cougar (4-1) win. Amaya Ross contributed nine boards and four points.

Saddle River Day High School (N.J.) and Team Lighting Melious AAU junior forward Giada Celletti helped paced the Colonial Rebels (2-1) with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds Saturday in their 52-50 victory against Rumson-Fair Haven (1-2) at the Shore Games.

Senior Faith Williamson contributed 16 points and four boards, while senior Brooke Braen added 11 points for Saddle River.

Junior Erin Reid drained 15 points and 14 rebounds, and sophomore Grace Smith dropped in 15 points of her own for Rumson-Fair Haven.
