LIC’s Billy Fuiaxis Visits DIII Hartwick College Football Program


Long Island City High School (Queens, N.Y.) two-way standout Billy Fuiaxis has recently visited Division III Hartwick College Hawks Football program (Oneonta, N.Y.), today he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

On offense, Fuiaxis, a Bulldog captain, hit pay dirt five times on the ground, while catching three touchdown passes during the regular season. He also returned eight kickoffs for 289 yards (36.13 average). Then, the senior returned three more kickoffs for 122 yards (40.67 average), with two going for scores in the playoffs.

Fuiaxis’ excellent kickoff performance earned him the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) lead in average per return.

Additionally, Fuiaxis threw for a TD in the post-season. Defensively, he made 29 tackles in the 2024-25 campaign.

Several PSAL high school coaches laud him for athletic ability, as well as his leadership skill and no quit mindset.

Hartwick posted a 2-8 overall record and went 1-6 in Empire 8 Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
