Junior Marquise Lloyd drained 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help lead Epic High School South past Forest Hills, 58-53, for the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Queens Borough Championship Saturday at Queens College.
Sophomore Mckhel Joyner contributed 13 points and nine assists in the Jaguars’ victory. Senior Francesco Mangione dropped in 11 points, while Adrian McIntosh, another senior, added nine points.
Forest Hills (15-1) led 28-24 going into the locker room. But Epic High School South (17-0) battled back, outscoring the Rangers, 18-9, in the third quarter, to take a 42-37 advantage.
The fourth period saw both teams score 16 points, and the Jaguars dribble away with the Queens Borough title in the end.
