The Long Island Ducks have signed right-handed pitcher Mark Washington for the upcoming 2025 Atlantic League season, today the team announced on LIDucks.com.
Washington started the 2024 campaign with the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys (Astros), making three appearances before playing with the Cleburne Railroaders of the American Association, compiling a 3-1 mark, two saves and 33 strikeouts in 37.1 innings in 30 contests.
Washington has spent six seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and one in the Houston Astros minor league system, reaching as high as Triple-A with both squads.
The 28-year-old put up a 22-9 record with a 3.31 ERA, nine saves and 264 strikeouts to 116 walks over 274.1 innings of work during his affiliated minor league career.
In 2023, Washington posted a 4-1 record with a 3.69 ERA, and one save in 30 games (two starts) with Triple-A Oklahoma City, helping the team capture the Pacific Coast League crown.
The Dodgers selected Washington in the 25th round of the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft out of Division I Lehigh University.
