Sean Roby Inks with Sussex County Miners


Infielder Sean Roby has signed on with the Sussex County Miners of the independent Frontier League for the 2025 season, today the team announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Roby, 26, split 2024 with the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos (both Miami Marlins’ affiliate), hitting a combined five home runs and 16 RBI in 161 at-bats in 46 games.

Roby’s best campaign came in 2022, when he slugged 25 longballs and drove in 69 RBI with the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants).

The Giants selected Roby in the 12th round 2018 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Arizona Western College.
